Former Brooklyn Assistant Kevin Young Joins Vogel's Staff

June 21, 2023 - The Phoenix Suns today announced the coaching staff for Head Coach Frank Vogel.

The staff includes associate head coach Kevin Young, who joins the Suns after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets. Young, 43, has a wealth of experience in the NBA, having also worked as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers.

In addition to Young, the Suns' coaching staff includes holdovers Brian Randle, Mark Bryant and Jarrett Jack, as well as newcomer Jason Terry. Randle and Bryant have been with the Suns since the 2021-22 season, while Jack and Terry joined the team this offseason.

The Suns are coming off a successful season in which they finished with a 56-26 record and reached the Western Conference Finals. They are hoping to build on that success this season with a new-look coaching staff.

2022 NBA All-Star Game Staff Announced

January 30, 2022 - The Phoenix Suns coaching staff, led by Head Coach Monty Williams, will coach Team LeBron in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

The announcement was made by the NBA today. Williams and his staff will be responsible for coaching Team LeBron, which will be led by Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.

This is the first time that Williams has been named to coach an NBA All-Star team. He is in his fourth season as head coach of the Suns, and has led the team to a 113-60 record during that time.

Williams' staff includes associate head coach Kevin Young, assistant coaches Mark Bryant, Brian Randle and Jarrett Jack, and player development coach Jason Terry. The staff has helped the Suns become one of the top teams in the NBA, and they will now have the opportunity to coach some of the best players in the league.
