Minsk beat Berezina in the first match of the new women's hockey season

On September 10, the first match of the new women's hockey season took place in Belarus. Minsk hosted Berezina. The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the hosts.
The only goal in regulation time was scored by Minsk forward Yuliya Blagodir. In the third period, Berezina managed to equalize thanks to a goal by Alena Antipova. The winner was determined in a shootout, in which Minsk turned out to be more accurate.
This victory allowed Minsk to take the lead in the standings. Berezina is in second place.
The next match of the championship will be held on September 14. Minsk will host Gomel.
