Ligue 1: Monaco Hammer Angers with Dominant Second-Half Display
AS Monaco produced a stunning second-half performance to thrash Angers SCO 3-0 and move up to third in Ligue 1, courtesy of goals from Wissam Ben Yedder, Breel Embolo, and Maghnes Akliouche.
After a goalless first half, Monaco exploded out of the blocks in the second period, as Ben Yedder broke the deadlock with a clinical finish from just inside the box following a clever pass from Embolo.
Embolo then got on the scoresheet himself, heading in from close range after a delightful cross from Youssouf Fofana. Akliouche put the icing on the cake with a well-taken strike from the edge of the area in the 80th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory for Monaco.
Monaco's Resurgence Continues
Monaco's impressive performance against Angers is a testament to their recent resurgence under manager Philippe Clement. After a slow start to the season, the team has now won five of their last six league matches, climbing into contention for a European spot.

In contrast, Angers remain rooted to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table after this latest setback. The club has now lost six of their last seven matches, conceding 18 goals in the process. Manager Abdel Bouhazama has a lot of work to do to turn things around.
