Lazio Dominates Match, Extends Unbeaten Run

S.S. Lazio made history on Tuesday, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia for the first time in five years after a dominant 4-0 victory over Serie B side Como 1907 at the Stadio Olimpico.

The victory extends Lazio's unbeaten run to eight matches in all competitions, with seven wins and one draw. Lazio has now won its last three Coppa Italia matches, scoring 10 goals and conceding none.

Lazio took control of the match from the outset, creating several chances in the opening minutes. Ciro Immobile had a golden opportunity to give Lazio the lead in the 10th minute, but his header from close range was saved by Como goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli.

Lazio's persistence paid off in the 25th minute when Sergej Milinkovic-Savic broke the deadlock with a powerful strike from outside the box. The Serbian midfielder received the ball from Immobile and unleashed a thunderous shot that flew into the top corner of the net.

Lazio doubled its lead just five minutes later when Luis Alberto scored a stunning free-kick. The Spanish midfielder curled the ball over the wall and into the top corner, giving Brignoli no chance.

Lazio continued to dominate the match in the second half, with Immobile and Felipe Anderson both coming close to adding to the lead. Anderson finally got his goal in the 63rd minute, tapping in from close range after a brilliant cross from Immobile.

Pedro completed the scoring in the 79th minute with a clinical finish after being played through by Immobile. The Spanish winger rounded Brignoli and slotted the ball into an empty net.

Lazio will now face either Juventus or Inter Milan in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia. The draw for the quarterfinals will be held on Wednesday, January 18.
