HC Dinamo Minsk parts ways with Andrei Kareyev
Report: Dinamo Minsk fires Andrei Kareyev
Andrei Kareyev has been fired as head coach of Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) side HC Dinamo Minsk, the club announced on Monday.
The Belarusian club has endured a difficult start to the 2022-23 season, winning just four of its first 15 games. Dinamo Minsk currently sits 10th in the Western Conference, eight points behind eighth-place Severstal Cherepovets.
Kareyev, 51, was appointed head coach of Dinamo Minsk in May 2021. He previously coached HC Sochi for two seasons, leading the team to the Gagarin Cup playoffs in 2020.
Dinamo Minsk has not yet announced a replacement for Kareyev. The club's next game is on Wednesday against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
