Answering the questions of the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” will be possible at TPU

Tomsk Polytechnic University will become the regional platform of the VII International Educational Action “Great Ethnographic Dictation” on October 30

The dictation is held in Russia and abroad on an annual basis. The project aims to attract the attention of the public to the ethnic and cultural diversity of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

The event is free. Everyone can take part in the dictation regardless of age, education, social status, and citizenship.

The dictation will be held in Tomsk at TPU in the main building (Lenin Ave., 30) in auditorium 310. Registration starts at 12:00 pm. The dictation itself will start at 1 pm and will last for 45 minutes.

The tasks will include 30 questions, divided into three thematic blocks:

• 10 general questions about the peoples of Russia and folk culture;
• 10 questions on the ethnography of Tomsk region;
• 10 questions about the history, culture, and traditions of the indigenous peoples of Tomsk region.

For successful completion of the dictation, it is necessary to answer correctly at least 70% of the questions.

After checking the results, the participants will receive electronic certificates on the official website of the Great Ethnographic Dictation.
