Minsk Dynamo's Starting Goaltender Returns to Practice
Kolosov Missed Time with Injury
Alexei Kolosov, the starting goaltender for Minsk Dynamo, returned to practice on International Goaltender Day after missing time due to injury.
Kolosov was injured in a game against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on January 14th and has been out of action since then. He missed four games during his recovery.
Kolosov's return is a boost for Minsk Dynamo, who are currently in last place in the KHL Western Conference.
Kolosov's Importance to Minsk Dynamo
Kolosov is one of the KHL's top goaltenders. He led the league in save percentage (.933) and goals-against average (1.97) last season.
Kolosov's return should help Minsk Dynamo improve their defensive play. The team has allowed the most goals in the KHL this season.
Kolosov's Recovery
Kolosov said that he is feeling good and is ready to play.
“I'm feeling good,” Kolosov said. “I'm ready to play. I've been working hard in practice and I'm excited to get back on the ice.”
Kolosov is expected to start in goal for Minsk Dynamo's next game, which is on Friday against HC Sochi.
